Very pleased to have my second photo SHIVERMAN selected for FWA photo of the day. A great website that always gives me inspiration and the chance to find out about great photographers from all corners of the globe.
The snap was taken late last year, beginning of my first european winter, I woke up early and there was thick mist, I thought of that certain tree/shot and wondered if it was good, the mist lifted a bit by the time I got myself together. The change of seasons creates very different light here, its low and soft, I am not used to seeing that back home, even in mid winter Wanaka, NZ light seems to be always pretty bright and contrasty.
